Thyroid Lump
Thyroid Lump is a general term that refers to any abnormal growth or swelling in the thyroid gland. It can be used interchangeably with the term "thyroid nodule." Thyroid lumps or nodules can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Most thyroid nodules are benign and may not cause any symptoms. They are often discovered incidentally during routine physical exams or imaging studies. However, some nodules can grow larger or cause symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, hoarseness, or visible swelling in the neck.
