Septorhinoplasty

A septorhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that combines septoplasty with rhinoplasty to improve both the function and appearance of the nose. Septoplasty focuses on correcting a deviated or crooked nasal septum, which is the wall of cartilage and bone that divides the nasal cavity into two nostrils. The cosmetic component, rhinoplasty, focuses on enhancing the external appearance of the nose.

During septoplasty, the surgeon makes incisions inside the nose to access the septum. They then straighten and reposition the septum by removing excess cartilage or bone and realigning the remaining structures to improve nasal airflow. By correcting the nasal septum, septoplasty aims to alleviate nasal obstruction, improve breathing, reduce snoring, and enhance overall nasal function.
