General ENT Conditions
Salivary Stones
Salivary Stones form when salivary flow of the gland slows down and gets accumulated in the duct or gland, itself. This condition will cause swelling and pain in any of the glands with symptoms occurring either on one side (unilateral) or both (bilateral). Its treatment depends on the size and location of the stone, and may include home remedies, antibiotics, in-office stone removal or in some cases, surgery or sialendoscopy.
