Visit our clinic for a face-to-face consultation with Dr Basheeth. Online

We offer online appointments to provide patients with the convenience of receiving their consultation from the comfort of their own home. With online appointments, you can receive expert care without having to leave your house.

FAQs

Do I need a referral?

A referral is preferable as it helps to know your medical background better, however, we are happy to see you without a referral for certain conditions. Just give us a call or email us.

For facial plastic or cosmetic consultations you do not require a referral letter.

  • Via Specialist Referral.

  • Self Referral - simply click here to book an appointment and provide us with as much detail as possible, including your DOB.

How much does it cost?

At ENT Central, our fees vary depending on the type and duration of the service provided. We strive to make our services accessible to all patients, and we offer competitive pricing that is in line with industry standards.

If you have any questions about our fees or payment options, please do not hesitate to contact us. Additionally, we may be able to provide you with an estimate of the cost of your treatment based on your specific needs and treatment plan.

What are my payment options?

Consultation payments are to be made at the time of the appointment and can be made via card (Debit/Credit cards accepted) or cash. Please be advised that payment by payWave or credit card will incur a surcharge fee. You are also welcome to take an invoice and pay by internet banking. 

What should I expect in an initial consultation?

Dr Naveed will take a thorough history, examine you and provide appropriate management which could include investigations and staged management depending on the initial clinical impression.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

Of course. If you need to reschedule your appointment we ask that you provide us with at least 3 hours notice. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient who may be waiting for care. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 3 hours notice, or if you do not show up for your appointment, we may charge a cancellation fee. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs while also ensuring that our schedule runs smoothly. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

What happens if I am having a procedure/surgery?

Dr Naveed will explain the procedure in detail, get informed consent and depending on your financial/case cover, i.e. insurance, self-payee, ACC, you will be given a quotation either the same day or in a couple of days so you can make an informed choice. You will also be given options of dates for surgery. 

Will my insurance cover my treatment costs?

Depending on your policy your insurance may or may not cover your condition. You may wish to discuss this with them before booking an appointment.

We are a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider which means we are contracted to provide care for patients with Southern Cross insurance. Once you have provided your membership number, prior approval can be obtained and payment will be made directly to us. Depending on your policy, sometimes a co-payment may be required.

If you have health insurance with another provider, you will need to pay for the consultation on the day and claim payment back from your provider later.

Will ACC cover my treatment costs?

We provide consultations and surgery for conditions which occurred by accident or treatment injury. If your GP or other medical practitioner has registered your condition with ACC, and this has been accepted by ACC, then all of the costs associated with your consultation will be covered by ACC. If surgery is required, prior approval from ACC is required before proceeding.

What about parking?

There is 1-2 hour free street parking along Broadway Avenue. There is also a mobility park right outside our clinic. If you have any issues with parking please ring us straight away on 0800 ENT DOC (368 362).
