Mucocele

Mucocele is a common benign cyst that forms in the mouth, typically due to a blocked or damaged salivary gland duct. Types of mucocele are: superficial mucocele and deep mucocele. Aside from medications or surgery, cryotherapy is an option for mucocele treatment where the cyst is frozen with liquid nitrogen to aid in shrinkage and resolution.
